We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. Plaid's design team shapes how hundreds of millions of people connect their financial accounts to the apps they use every day, and how thousands of companies build fintech products on top of Plaid's network. Our surfaces range from embedded consumer flows to complex developer tools, and design is treated as core to the product — not a finishing layer applied at the end. Visit https://designedbyplaid.com/ to learn more about the Design team. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who can take real ownership of a product surface, end to end, working closely with product and engineering to shape not just how it looks but what gets built. You'll set the quality bar for your surface and take work from ambiguous problem to shipped, polished detail. We care a great deal about craft here — Plaid's products are judged directly by the people who use them, whether that's an end consumer connecting a bank account or a developer integrating our APIs, so the details are the substance, not the finish. We also work fast, and we expect the person in this role to have already made agentic development a real part of how they design and build. Responsibilities - Own the design of your product surface end to end, from problem definition through pixel-level polish - Set and hold the visual and interaction quality bar for your area of the product - Partner directly with product and engineering from planning through execution, shaping what gets built — not just how it looks - Build working prototypes — including with AI agents — to test ideas before committing engineering time - Produce high-quality work spanning wireframes and user flows to pixel-perfect prototypes with delig
